We like to think that everyone at Zen Contracting is pretty down to earth. We enjoy building things, solving problems and working with good people. You won't find us sipping champagne while we help design your closet, and we don't believe building a great home needs to feel complicated or exclusive.
What we do believe is that good work makes the world a better place to live. Homes are where people raise families, gather with friends and build their lives, and we take seriously the responsibility that comes with building and improving them.
Zen Contracting grew from the belief that homeowners deserved a better construction experience. So we built our company around doing things differently: thoughtful planning, straightforward communication, fair dealing and people who take responsibility for their work.

Every project starts with understanding what you're trying to accomplish. We take the time to learn about your property, your priorities, your budget and the way you want to live.
From there, we develop the scope, estimate the work and create a plan for moving forward. Whether we're building a custom home, an addition or a major renovation, the project is built around your vision—not ours.
Different homes. Different challenges. The same commitment to doing the work well.

Good construction takes more than skilled trades. It takes organization, coordination and people who take ownership of the project from beginning to end.
Every project is managed by a dedicated team with clear scopes, organized schedules and a plan for keeping the work moving.
Our goal is to make a complicated process easier to understand and give our clients confidence that someone is paying attention to the details.

We believe our clients should understand what we're building, what it will cost, where their project stands and what happens next.
When challenges come up—and in construction they sometimes do—we communicate, find solutions and keep moving forward.
Do the work well. Keep people informed. Stand behind what we build.

Long after the plans are put away, the invoices are paid and the construction is finished, the work we leave behind remains.
Whatever challenges a project brings along the way, our responsibility is to keep working through them and deliver something that was worth building.
At the end of every project, we want our clients to be proud of their home—and we want to be proud to say we built it.
